PC Part Picker Website

At our November 2014 meeting, Lee Kaphingst discussed building building your own computer.  One of the questions brought up the question of selecting parts that will work together.

I'm considering building a new PC to meet some specific needs, particularly capturing, editing, and rendering video podcasts to use as tutorials for my clients.  That last part, rendering the video file is a CPU hog and demands special attention.

In doing some research I stumbled upon the PC Part Picker website. While I haven't used it extensively yet, it looks to be quite useful.

I should also mention Tom's Hardware.  Tom's is perhaps a little better known and provides a wealth of knowledge about PC hardware.

Take a look and let us know what you think about these sites.
