TCPC General Meeting
Voice Recognition technology has had a fairly long and somewhat checkered history. Converting the human voice into text on the computer turned out to be more challenging than expected for major developers like IBM with its Via Voice program and others. Dragon has had the best success with its Naturally Speaking program. But voice recognition is available in most programs today. Sharon Walbran will discuss where and why to use it and attempt to demonstrate how to use it including: equipment needed, getting up and running, navigating, creating documents, editing documents, and using commands. Bring your own stories of experiences with voice recognition to the meeting to share with other members.
This is the regular, monthly meeting of the Twin Cities PC Users' Group. Our topic varies each month. We normally (time permitting) open with a time of Random Access where attendees are invited to ask questions that may be answered by other members.
