New Website Goes Live

You are viewing the newest version of the Twin Cities PC Users' Group's website.  It is still very much under construction but promises to offer vastly improved ways for site visitors and group members to get information and interact.

In the coming months you'll see new facilities developed and released which will:

• Allow dynamic creation of Groups.  Groups will act like mini-websites for our Special Interest Groups and Board of Directors
• A better event calendar
• Online membership processing, including the ability to pay for memberships via major credit cards.
• Improved ways to communicate with members of the Board of Directors
• Improved ways to communicate with other members

Some Technical Notes:

As might be expected by anyone that knows Curt Trout, the site is built using the Drupal Content Management System.  It is also using a new Drupal Distribution, Acquia's Drupal Commons, that integrates Organic Groups, Panels, Contexts, and other leading edge technology.  We expect a few growing pains as we harness this powerful technology.

The site is being developed and donated by TCPC Vice-President Curt Trout and his company, Troutreach Technologies LLC.
